This year, Stella Maris Ukraine was proud to be shortlisted for the Industry Partner Award at the Seatrade Maritime CrewConnect Global Awards in Manila.
We did not take home the award — but being recognised alongside some of the world’s leading maritime organisations is already a tremendous honour for our entire team in Odesa.

We are deeply grateful to Stella Maris UK for representing us at the ceremony and for their powerful words of support. Their unwavering solidarity, especially during wartime, strengthens and sustains everything we do.

Amid an ongoing full-scale war, Stella Maris Ukraine continues to serve seafarers, port workers, and their families — as the only maritime charity still operating on the ground in Ukraine.
Our work spans emergency support, welfare, mental health care, training, education, ship visits, and now safety programmes for crews working in high-risk port environments.

Since the start of the war, together with our partners we have:

• Provided emergency financial aid to over 300 families
• Delivered hundreds of food packages to retired seafarers and port workers
• Visited crews on ships in Ukrainian ports, offering friendship, support, and faith services
• Launched a free online mental health counselling service for seafarers
• Introduced a financial literacy programme to help navigate wartime challenges
• Supported grieving families and conducted funeral services
• Started preparing critical safety kits for port crews to stay protected during missile attacks

None of this would be possible without the trust, partnership, and commitment of our supporters — in Ukraine, the UK, and around the world.
